Joshua Gutierrez, Voluntary Manslaughter, New Mexico 2024

Gutierrez, 22, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation of New Mexico, stands accused of a deadly shooting in Indian Country.

On March 29, an argument erupted at the home of Gutierrez’s girlfriend and her father. Gutierrez armed himself with a handgun and walked toward the room where the argument was taking place.
