Northumberland County Man Charged with Illegal Firearm Possession

WILLIAMSPORT, PA – Joshua Reichenbach, age 39, of Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, has been charged with illegally possessing a firearm.

According to the indictment, Reichenbach allegedly possessed a 9mm handgun on February 2, 2022, while prohibited from possessing a firearm due to a previous criminal conviction.

The investigation was conducted by agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Pennsylvania State Police, and the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Department.

Assistant United States Attorney Alisan V. Martin is prosecuting the case.

This case is being prosecuted as part of the Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) Program, an evidence-based program proven to be effective at reducing violent crime.

Reichenbach faces a maximum penalty of life imprisonment, a five-year term of supervised release, and a fine of $250,000 if convicted.

Indictments are only allegations. All persons charged are presumed to be innocent unless and until found guilty in court.
