A Cleveland Heights man has been charged with making interstate threats against his relatives in Ohio.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio, Justin Michael Krueger, 23, made threats to injure and kill his relatives while he was in Kansas and California.
The indictment, which was returned by a federal grand jury, charges Krueger with two counts of threats to another by interstate communication.
Krueger was arrested on December 6, 2013, by the FBI and the Safe Streets Task Force on a federal arrest warrant. The Cleveland Heights Police Department assisted with the arrest.
If convicted, Krueger’s sentence will be determined by the Court after review of factors unique to this case, including his prior criminal record, if any, his role in the offenses and the unique characteristics of the violations.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Teresa Dirksen.
An indictment is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. A defendant is entitled to a fair trial in which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
Krueger’s address at the time of the indictment was Cleveland Heights, Ohio. He is currently awaiting trial and no sentencing information is available.
