Kamiah Woman Resists FBI Agent
A shocking incident in Idaho has left authorities stunned. Pennie Sue Moffett, a 41-year-old resident of Kamiah, Idaho, was sentenced to 10 months in prison for resisting and impeding a FBI agent.
According to the plea agreement, Moffett obstructed, resisted and impeded an FBI agent who was engaged in his official duties by kicking the agent as he assisted in a tribal arrest on March 27, 2014.
The FBI agent, who was assisting in the tribal arrest, did not suffer any bodily harm during the incident. The FBI and Nez Perce Tribal Police investigated the case.
Moffett pleaded guilty to the charges on April 28, 2015. The sentence was handed down yesterday, with Moffett facing three years of supervised release following her prison term.
U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson announced the sentencing, stating that Moffett’s actions were unacceptable and would not be tolerated.
The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers faced by law enforcement officials in the line of duty. As the community reels from the news, questions are being raised about the circumstances surrounding the arrest and the actions of Moffett.
The case is a sobering reminder of the importance of respecting law enforcement officials and the consequences of resisting their authority.
