Kansas City father-son duo Nathan Caldwell, Sr., 52, and Nathan Caldwell, Jr., 32, have been slapped with a 29-count indictment for running a lucrative firearms and drug trafficking operation.
The indictment, unsealed after their arrest and initial court appearances, alleges the Caldwells engaged in a brazen business of dealing in firearms without a license, dating back to Dec. 20, 2023.
Nathan Caldwell, Sr., also known as “Prince Bossalinie,” is charged with 10 counts of being a felon in possession of firearms, eight counts of distributing methamphetamine, one count of distributing cocaine, one count of distributing marijuana, and two counts of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug-trafficking crime.
According to the indictment, Nathan Caldwell, Sr., has prior felony convictions for being a felon in possession of a firearm, aiding a felon, attempted aggravated assault, attempted possession of cocaine, conspiracy to commit robbery, and possessing cocaine.
Nathan Caldwell, Jr., is also charged with three counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm and three counts of distributing marijuana. His prior felony conviction includes assault.
The case is being prosecuted by Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Jessica L. Jennings and investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives as part of Project Safe Neighborhoods.
Project Safe Neighborhoods is a program that aims to reduce violent crime and gun violence by fostering trust and legitimacy in communities, supporting community-based organizations, setting focused enforcement priorities, and measuring results.
