Kelley Ranae Jones, Embezzlement by Bank Employee, Texas 2019

San Antonio, TX – A hard-hitting sentence has been delivered to Kelley Ranae Jones, 45, who was sentenced to three years in federal prison for orchestrating a daring $900,000 bank heist at the Arrowhead Bank in Llano, Texas.

Jones, a former employee of the bank, pleaded guilty to one count of embezzlement by a bank employee on January 28, 2019. The fraudulent scheme spanned from 2011 to 2018, where Jones manipulated bank records to siphon over $900,000.

Yesterday afternoon, U.S. District Judge Xavier Rodriguez upheld the sentence, which also includes five years of supervised release and an order for Jones to pay $905,372.49 in restitution to Arrowhead Bank.

The investigation was spearheaded by the FBI, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Sean B. O’Connell representing the Government in the prosecution.

Jones’s case serves as a stark reminder of the cunning tactics employed by white-collar criminals and the serious consequences they face under federal law.

This crime does not go unpunished, and Kelley Ranae Jones will now have to answer for her actions behind bars.
