St. Louis, MO – In a shocking case of kidnapping, two men have been sentenced for their role in abducting a 2-year-old toddler in St. Louis County, Missouri.
The victim, a 2-year-old toddler, was kidnapped by Kendal ‘KD’ White, 21, of St. Charles, and Cam’Ron Henderson, 21, of St. Louis, in a bid to recover missing guns. According to authorities, White believed that the father of the toddler had taken items from him, including firearms.
On August 10, 2023, White, Henderson, and others began searching for the man and eventually made their way to the victim’s mother’s apartment in St. Louis County. When the mother did not answer the door, White and Henderson kicked it in, both armed. After learning that their quarry was not in the apartment, White demanded that the mother turn over her daughter. When she refused, White struck her in the head with his gun repeatedly before grabbing the toddler and fleeing.
The toddler’s mother called police, and an Amber Alert was issued. When White and Henderson learned of the alert, White paid three women to return the toddler to her uncle’s home.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Szczucinski described the offense as ‘incredibly violent.’ The St. Louis County Police Department and the FBI investigated the case.
On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Henry E. Autrey sentenced White to 20 years in prison for one count of kidnapping. Cam’Ron Henderson, who was previously sentenced in January, received 130 months in prison.
This case highlights the shocking and violent nature of kidnapping. It is a crime that can have devastating consequences for the victims and their families.
