Man Behind Bars After Incriminating Phone Call
Tallahassee, Florida – Kendrick Parham, 47, of Panama City, Florida, has pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The plea was announced by John P. Heekin, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.
The case began after the Bay County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at Parham’s residence, where five ounces of methamphetamine were discovered. Parham was arrested on state charges and later made incriminating statements during a monitored phone call about the presence of a firearm in his residence. The Bay County Sheriff’s Office obtained a new search warrant and recovered the firearm following Parham’s statements.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office is encouraging everyone to lock their car doors, particularly at night, as burglaries from unlocked automobiles are a significant source of guns for criminals in the Northern District of Florida.
Parham, a four-time convicted felon, faces imprisonment for up to 15 years at sentencing. Court documents reflect the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives assisted the Bay County Sheriff’s Office in the execution of the search warrant.
The case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative aimed at reducing violent crime and protecting communities. Sentencing is scheduled for May 29, 2026 before United States District Judge Mark E. Walker.
