Eagle Butte Man Sentenced for Failure to Register As a Sex Offender
A 58-year-old man from Eagle Butte, South Dakota, has been sentenced for failing to register as a sex offender.
According to U.S. Attorney Randolph J. Seiler, Kenneth Bowker, Jr., was sentenced to 24 months in custody, followed by 5 years of supervised release, and a special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund in the amount of $100.
Bowker’s conviction stems from his failure to register as a sex offender as required by federal law between January 26, 2017, and February 5, 2017.
Bowker had previously been convicted of a sex offense in federal court, which requires him to register for the rest of his life.
