Kenneth Howard Crum, Jr., Child Pornography, Iowa 2021

A 33-year-old man from Iowa has been sentenced to over 17 years in prison for his involvement in child pornography.

Kenneth Howard Crum, Jr. of Sidney, Iowa was sentenced to 210 months in prison by United States District Court Judge Stephanie M. Rose for Receipt and Possession of Child Pornography. His prison term will be followed by 10 years of supervised release.

According to court documents, Crum pleaded guilty to the offenses in June of 2021. The investigation into Crum’s activities began in November 2020 when law enforcement investigated him for harassing his ex-wife through postings on the internet.

A search warrant was obtained to seize Crum’s cellular telephone and a forensic examination of the cell phone located images and videos of child pornography, most involving children less than 12 years of age.

Acting United States Attorney Richard D. Westphal of the Southern District of Iowa made the announcement of Crum’s sentence. The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation – Iowa Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigated the case.

Kenneth Howard Crum, Jr. will be serving his 210-month prison sentence after being found guilty of Receipt and Possession of Child Pornography. His sentence will be followed by 10 years of supervised release.
