Las Vegas—A shocking case of air rage unfolded as Ketty J. Dilone, a 32-year-old Las Vegas resident, faced initial court appearance for her alleged assault of a flight attendant and intimidation of other crew members on an American Airlines flight.
Dilone was aboard the September 16, 2025, flight from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, to Las Vegas with a layover in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident took place en route to Las Vegas when Dilone began shouting and threatening multiple flight attendants. Her behavior escalated to the point where she had to be physically restrained in her seat using zip ties and duct tape.
Her antics didn’t stop there; it was alleged that Dilone kicked a flight attendant, causing the attendant to fall. Upon arrival at Harry Reid International Airport, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers promptly apprehended her and took her into custody.
Dilone now faces one count of interference with a flight crew and one count of assault by striking, beating, or wounding. United States Magistrate Judge Elayna J. Youchah has scheduled the preliminary hearing for October 1, 2025. The maximum statutory penalty for these charges stands at 20 years imprisonment.
The investigation was conducted by the FBI and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, with Assistant United States Attorney Tina Snellings prosecuting the case. Acting United States Attorney Sigal Chattah for the District of Nevada and Special Agent in Charge Christopher S. Delzotto for the FBI Las Vegas Division announced the charges.
Victims or witnesses of aircraft-related crimes are encouraged to report them to flight crew, airport authority police, and the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI (225-5324) or tips.fbi.gov. It’s important to remember that a complaint is merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
