Morgan’s guilty plea stems from his actions in April 2021, when he distributed heroin and fentanyl in Wetzel County. The case was investigated by the Marshall County Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, with the assistance of Assistant U.S. Attorney Shawn M. Adkins.

As a result of his plea, Morgan faces up to 20 years of incarceration and a fine of up to $1,000,000. The actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
