Kristy Lynne Koldis, Sexual Exploitation of a Child, New York 2024

A 46-year-old Latham woman has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for her role in the sexual exploitation of a child.

Kristy Lynne Koldis, 46, of Latham, New York, was sentenced to 180 months (15 years) in prison and 15 years of supervised release for sexual exploitation of a child, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

The crime involved the creation and distribution of sexually explicit content depicting the lewd and lascivious exhibition of a child’s genitals from the time the child was approximately 9 years old through the time the child was approximately 13 years old.

The images were distributed to Joshua White, who pleaded guilty on December 13, 2023, to distribution and possession of child pornography. His sentencing is currently scheduled for December 12, 2024.

United States District Judge Mae A. D’Agostino also imposed special assessments totaling over $55,000 and ordered Koldis to pay $5,000 in restitution. Koldis will have to register as a sex offender upon her release from prison.

Homeland Security Investigations and the New York State Police investigated the case, which is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michael D. Gadarian as part of Project Safe Childhood.

Project Safe Childhood is a Department of Justice initiative launched in May 2006 to address the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse available online.
