SIOUX FALLS – In a shocking revelation, the Grimy Times has learned that 11 men from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, have been charged with Attempted Enticement of a Minor Using the Internet.
The operation, conducted by Homeland Security Investigations, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and local law enforcement, ran from March 7, 2024, through March 12, 2024, and resulted in the arrest of the individuals.
The defendants, who range in age from 20 to 69, are Kyle Dean Bult, 38, Kalvin Michael Frankus, 37, Hunter Hill, 22, Stacy Shannon Hoover, 56, Ryan Nigro, 32, Jorge Manual Rodriguez-Marroquin, 47, Dylan Ryan, 24, Gerber David Santos Gonzalez, 25, William Danery Sebastian, 33, Southy Thepmontry, 69, and Carter Lee Tyree, 20.
The charges carry a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years and a maximum of life in federal prison, as well as a $250,000 fine. The defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
U.S. Attorney Alison J. Ramsdell highlighted the disturbing reality that child predators are operating in our own communities, using the Internet to target young victims. She thanked federal, state, and local law enforcement for their collaboration in safeguarding children across South Dakota.
Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Special Agent in Charge Jamie Holt emphasized the importance of working together to bring individuals and networks that prey on vulnerable populations to justice.
The cases are being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Jeffrey C. Clapper and Elizabeth A. Ebert, as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
This operation serves as a stark reminder to parents, guardians, and caretakers to monitor their children’s online activity, as the Internet can be a very dangerous place for children.
