A 41-year-old man from Billings, Montana, was arraigned this week on charges of attempted coercion and enticement, a serious crime that carries severe penalties.
Kyle Jason Swindler, a resident of Billings, Montana, appeared in federal court on April 7 and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The alleged crime is punishable by a mandatory minimum of 10 years to life in prison, a $250,000 fine, and five years to life of supervised release, if convicted.
Swindler was detained pending further proceedings in the case, which was investigated by the FBI.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced the arraignment, stating that the charges against Swindler are merely accusations and that he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
