Local Man Convicted of Assaulting Minor
A Lantry, South Dakota man was sentenced to 3 months in custody after being convicted of Simple Assault of a Minor, according to court documents.
Robert Smith, 53, was found guilty of intentionally and offensively touching a minor between the ages of 12 and 16 years old at his home near Lantry.
The incident occurred between May 30 and July 27, 2012, and was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the South Dakota Department of Social Services, and the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Division.
