In a shocking turn of events, a Sharon man has pleaded guilty to trafficking large quantities of fentanyl and cocaine in close proximity to an elementary school and a day care facility.
Larry Marrow, 37, was charged with possession with intent to distribute quantities of fentanyl and cocaine within 1,000 feet of a playground, school, or public housing on July 6, 2023.
The Mercer County Drug Task Force, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General conducted the investigation that led to Marrow’s prosecution.
Assistant United States Attorney Craig W. Haller is prosecuting this case on behalf of the United States.
The law provides for a total maximum sentence of not less than one year and up to 40 years in prison, a fine of up to $2 million, or both.
Judge Robert J. Colville scheduled sentencing for September 30, 2025. The actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offense and Marrow’s prior criminal history, if any.
While the exact details of Marrow’s involvement in the trafficking ring are still unclear, one thing is certain: the streets of Sharon are a little bit safer now that he’s been taken off the streets.
The prosecution of Marrow serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of fentanyl and cocaine trafficking, and the lengths to which law enforcement will go to bring these individuals to justice.
As the community continues to grapple with the aftermath of Marrow’s guilty plea, one thing is clear: the war on drugs is far from over.
