ICE Operations Obstructed in Massachusetts
A disturbing trend of interference with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations has been reported in Massachusetts. U.S. Attorney Leah B. Foley has spoken out against this conduct, stating it poses significant public and officer safety risks.
According to Foley, ‘This conduct poses significant public and officer safety risks. It is conduct that should be vilified rather than glorified.’
The U.S. Attorney’s Office, along with federal partners, will investigate any violations of federal law and pursue charges warranted by such activity. Foley emphasized her commitment to upholding the law and ensuring public safety.
In a statement, Foley said, ‘I will not stand idly by if any public official, public safety officer, organization, or private citizen acts in a manner that criminally obstructs or impedes ICE operations.’
As the situation continues to unfold, the public is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities. Foley’s office will work tirelessly to investigate and prosecute any attempts to disrupt ICE operations.
