A Meridian man has been sentenced to 74 months in prison for violating the terms of his probation by being in possession of a firearm.
Lester Landrum, 42, was arrested during an operation led by the East Mississippi Drug Task Force in Meridian, Mississippi.
According to court documents, Landrum was found in possession of a firearm while under state correctional supervision as a probationer. He pleaded guilty to the charged conduct on December 16, 2024.
The Court ordered that the 74-month sentence for the instant offense run consecutive to the unfinished term of his prior state sentence.
Acting U.S. Attorney Patrick A. Lemon of the Southern District of Mississippi made the announcement.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Samuel Goff prosecuted the case.
