Great Falls, Montana – Linda Reynolds, a 63-year-old resident of Great Falls, was sentenced to a term of 262 months in prison for her role in a methamphetamine distribution ring.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Reynolds was sentenced in connection with her guilty plea to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine. She was also ordered to pay a special assessment of $100 and will serve 5 years of supervised release after her prison term.

The investigation revealed that Reynolds was dealing methamphetamine out of her apartment in Great Falls, and she received her supply of the drug from Joe and Ann Wetzel. She would then resell the methamphetamine for a profit, paying the Wetzels $1,700 per ounce and pocketing the remaining $1,000.

Law enforcement seized over 50 grams of actual methamphetamine during the investigation, which was valued at a street price of approximately $186,000.

Reynolds’ sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Sam E. Haddon on February 11, 2013. Because there is no parole in the federal system, Reynolds will likely serve all of the time imposed by the court.

The investigation was conducted by the Russell County Drug Task Force, which worked closely with the Great Falls Police Department to bring Reynolds to justice.

Reynolds’ case is a stark reminder of the dangers of methamphetamine and the importance of community involvement in the fight against drug trafficking.
