Carlos Llamas-Hernandez, Conspiring to Commit Murder, California 2010

In a shocking turn of events, a federal judge in the Central District of California, handed down a life sentence to Carlos Llamas-Hernandez on February 10, 2012, for his involvement in a violent crime.

Llamas-Hernandez, 32 at the time of his sentencing, was found guilty of conspiring to commit murder, as well as carrying a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. The charges stemmed from a botched robbery attempt in Los Angeles that resulted in the death of one of the victims.

According to court documents, Llamas-Hernandez had orchestrated the heist, which took place on a sunny afternoon in October 2010. However, things took a deadly turn when one of the victims, a 25-year-old man, tried to flee the scene. Llamas-Hernandez allegedly fired several shots, striking the victim in the chest and killing him instantly.

The case drew widespread attention due to its brutality and the fact that it was caught on surveillance camera. The footage showed Llamas-Hernandez and his accomplices fleeing the scene, leaving behind a trail of blood and destruction.
