In a brazen move, thieves have been stealing lumber from the Paget Band sawmills in Paget Sound, Washington Territory. The first cargo of the new schooner Beulah, destined for Caliso Sons, was recently targeted in a daring heist. The schooner, which had just arrived with a shipment of lumber, was left leaking after the thieves struck. Divers were forced to make emergency repairs prior to her scheduled departure on the 15th of November.
