Lynda Diane Good, Jr., Methamphetamine Trafficking, Montana 2024

A Billings woman was sentenced to 5 years in prison for her role in a major methamphetamine trafficking operation, according to court documents.

Lynda Diane Good, 60, pleaded guilty in December 2024 to possession with the intent to distribute controlled substances. U.S. District Judge Susan Watters presided over the case.

The government alleged that Good possessed approximately one pound of methamphetamine and sold the drug. An undercover officer conducted a controlled purchase of four ounces of methamphetamine from Good at her residence in Billings on April 3, 2024. Police obtained a warrant to search Good’s residence on April 11, 2024, and recovered 434 grams of methamphetamine and multiple firearms.

Good admitted to possessing the methamphetamine and selling the drug. The case was investigated by the ATF, Billings Police Department, and Montana Division of Criminal Investigation.

The investigation was conducted under the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF), a program that identifies, disrupts, and dismantles high-level criminal organizations threatening the United States.

Assistant U.S. Attorney prosecuted the case. Good is set to serve 60 months in prison followed by 5 years of supervised release.

The OCDETF program uses a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency approach to combat organized crime and narcotics trafficking.
