Wayne Bailey, Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute Heroin Resulting in Death, Wyoming 2015

Wyoming authorities have cracked down on a heroin trafficking ring, with multiple individuals facing the consequences of their actions. The latest sentencing in this ongoing case belongs to Wayne Bailey, a 39-year-old man from West Jordan, Utah.

Bailey was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on January 27, 2015, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute heroin resulting in death. He was arrested in West Jordan, Utah.

The sentence handed down to Bailey is 97 months imprisonment, to be followed by five years of supervised release. Additionally, he was ordered to pay a $500.00 fine and a $100.00 special assessment. This case was investigated by the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office, the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

The heroin trafficking ring that Bailey was a part of has been the subject of a lengthy investigation. Authorities have worked tirelessly to dismantle the operation and bring those responsible to justice.

Heather L. Fletcher, 27, of Rock Springs, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on January 26, 2015, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute heroin. Fletcher was arrested in Rock Springs, Wyoming. She received 37 months imprisonment, to be followed by four years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $150.00 fine and a $100.00 special assessment.

Skyeler I. French, 28, of Rock Springs, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on January 26, 2015, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute heroin. French was arrested in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He received 87 months imprisonment, to be followed by four years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $300.00 fine and a $100.00 special assessment.

Shaelynn Dawn Smith, 23, of Evanston, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on January 26, 2015, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, at least 350 grams but less than 500 grams of methamphetamine. Smith was arrested in Evanston, Wyoming. She received 60 months imprisonment, to be followed by four years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $150.00 fine and a $100.00 special assessment.

Erik M. Styles, 27, of Rock Springs, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on January 22, 2015, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute heroin and distribution of heroin. Styles was arrested in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He received 37 months imprisonment, to be followed by four years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment.
