Carlos Brown, Methamphetamine Distribution, Georgia 2023

MACON, Ga. – The gritty streets of Macon have been cleansed of a dangerous menace as Carlos Brown, also known as Lo, 33, was sentenced to 150 months in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine at local motels.

Brown’s reign of terror ended on Tuesday, Nov. 30, when U.S. District Judge Marc Treadwell handed down the sentence after Brown’s guilty plea to distribution charges. His fate is sealed without parole in the federal system.

“This criminal organization has spread more than 4.5 kilos of meth, leaving a trail of destruction and violence,” fumed U.S. Attorney Peter D. Leary. “Our office will not stand by as lives are ruined; we’ll seek justice every time.”

FBI Atlanta’s Chris Hacker echoed the sentiment: “Brown’s sentencing is proof that law enforcement works tirelessly to break up drug rings and protect our communities.”

Bibb County Sheriff David J. Davis expressed relief, “Carlos Brown and his cronies are no more. Thanks to a partnership with the FBI, we’ve stopped this evil group from poisoning our community.”

The investigation into Brown’s activities began in June 2019, when agents used controlled purchases and wiretaps to build their case. More than 4.5 kilograms of ‘ice’ methamphetamine were intercepted during the operation.

Several co-defendants are awaiting sentencing, with Roderick Chester facing up to life in prison for his role in the conspiracy. Meanwhile, Robert Lee Whisby Jr., known as Lil Pumpkin, and Rodney Morris Sr. received lengthy sentences for their involvement in the meth ring.
