Marcus Allen Wells, Robbery and Firearms Offenses, Pennsylvania 2021

Pittsburgh man, Marcus Allen Wells, 28, faces severe federal charges for committing three Hobbs Act Robberies and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. The alleged robberies occurred at a Sunoco on Craft Avenue, a Shell gas station on Baum Boulevard, and at a Sunoco on Duquesne Boulevard in Duquesne, all on December 10, 2021.

According to the indictment, Wells, a resident of Pittsburgh, Pa., also possessed a firearm and ammunition as a convicted felon on December 16, 2021. This act, if proven, could lead to severe penalties for the defendant.

Wells, a resident of the City’s Glen Hazel neighborhood, is the sole defendant in the five-count indictment returned on August 9. The law provides for a maximum total sentence of life in prison, a fine of $250,000, or both.

Assistant United States Attorney DeMarr W. Moulton is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government. The Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted the investigation leading to the indictment in this case.
