A Great Falls man has been brought to justice for distributing methamphetamine in the community.
GREAT FALLS, Montana — Mark Edwin Abresch, 63, pleaded guilty in October 2021 to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Today, Abresch was sentenced to four years in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, as per U.S. Attorney Leif M. Johnson.
Between September 2020 and April 2021, Abresch distributed meth in the Great Falls community. In a two-week period from the end of March to the beginning of April 2021, he distributed more than 89 grams of meth in four controlled buys.
Chief U.S. District Judge Brian M. Morris presided over the case.
The case was investigated by the FBI and Great Falls Police Department, and Assistant U.S. Attorneys Jessica A. Betley and Kalah A. Paisley prosecuted the case.
Abresch’s crimes are part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a U.S. Department of Justice initiative to reduce violent crime.
