WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA – Mark Joseph Dobrzynski, 58, of Valley Grove, West Virginia, is facing serious drug trafficking charges, announced U.S. Attorney Bill Powell.
Dobrzynski was indicted on three counts of Distribution of Methamphetamine and one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine. The indictment alleges that Dobrzynski sold methamphetamine in December 2019 and October 2020 in Ohio County, and that he had methamphetamine in November 2020 in the same county.
Dobrzynski faces up to 20 years of incarceration and a fine of up to $1,000,000 for each count. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Shawn M. Adkins is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government. The Ohio Valley Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, investigated.
An indictment is merely an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
Mark Joseph Dobrzynski’s case is a stark reminder of the dangers of methamphetamine trafficking and the importance of holding those responsible accountable for their actions.
