Ohio Man Pleads Guilty to Methamphetamine Distribution in West Virginia
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — In a guilty plea hearing on October 14, 2025, Marquize Kuame Damon Scott, also known as ‘Q,’ 27, of South Point, Ohio, admitted to distributing 50 grams or more of a methamphetamine mixture.
According to court documents and statements made in court, on June 14, 2024, Scott sold 83.9 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant in exchange for $700 in Huntington. As part of her guilty plea, Scott admitted to conducting the transaction and to arranging it beforehand.
Additionally, Scott admitted to another criminal act on June 10, 2024. Scott sold approximately 55 grams of methamphetamine and approximately 2.3 grams of cocaine to a confidential informant in exchange for $500 on Hal Greer Boulevard in Huntington.
Marquize Kuame Damon Scott is scheduled to be sentenced on January 26, 2026, and faces a mandatory minimum of five years and up to 40 years in prison, at least four years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $5 million.
United States Attorney Moore Capito made the announcement and commended the investigative work of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Cabell County Sheriff’s Office.
United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers presided over the hearing. Assistant United States Attorney Courtney L. Finney is prosecuting the case.
