Two Topeka men are behind bars, charged with robbing a convenience store in the city.
According to authorities, Marsoleno Devon Ryland, 34, and Christopher Allen Bush, 26, both of Topeka, allegedly robbed Casey’s General Store at 600 S.E. Rice Road on February 2, 2017. The indictment alleges the men committed commercial robbery.
If convicted, Ryland and Bush face up to 20 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000. The Topeka Police Department and the FBI investigated the case.
Ryland and Bush are innocent until proven guilty, and the indictment merely contains allegations of criminal conduct. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jared Maag.

Hill allegedly brandished a Model AP9 handgun when he robbed the Family Dollar at 2201 E. Central in Wichita on March 2, 2017. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000. The Wichita Police Department and the FBI investigated the case.
In another case, James Carter Heard, Jr., 45, of Junction City, is charged with failing to register as a sex offender. He faces up to 10 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000. The U.S. Marshals Service investigated the case.

Shields, 45, and Chas W. Summerville, 28, who are each charged with unlawful possession of a firearm following a felony conviction.
