A major crime has shaken the streets of Erie, Pennsylvania. Marvin Deron Sanders, a 43-year-old resident of Erie, has been charged with a serious crime.
According to the indictment presented to the court, on or about December 11, 2020, Sanders attempted to possess with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine.
The charges against Sanders are severe. He faces a maximum total of life in prison, a fine of $10,000,000, or both. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed would be based upon the seriousness of the offense and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
The investigation leading to the indictment was conducted by the Pennsylvania State Police Northwest Strike Force, United States Postal Inspection Service, and Drug Enforcement Administration.
