Eddie A. Brown, Methamphetamine Distribution, Oklahoma 2014

McAlester’s Eddie A. Brown, 42, has entered a guilty plea in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, Muskogee Division, for the distribution of methamphetamine.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma revealed that Brown faced charges under Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1) and 841(b)(1)(A), stemming from an investigation by the District 18 Drug Task Force and the DEA.

According to the indictment filed in September 2014, on or about March 20, 2014, Brown knowingly distributed 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, a Schedule II Controlled Substance, within the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

Judge Steven P. Shreder presided over the hearing and ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report. Brown remains in custody with the United States Marshal Service until sentencing is determined.

The defendant could face a minimum of 10 years imprisonment and/or a fine of up to $10,000,000, as per the statutory punishment range.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Shannon Henson represented the government in this case.
