BUFFALO, N.Y. – Kyle Stack, 39, of Medina, New York, has confessed to a depraved act: possessing thousands of images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children. Stack pleaded guilty today before U.S. District Judge John L. Sinatra, Jr., admitting to the horrific collection of child pornography involving prepubescent minors.
The details are sickening. According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Charles M. Kruly, investigators discovered Stack possessed a cellular phone containing over 4,000 images and videos of exploited children. The material wasn’t limited to vague depictions; it included images of minors less than 12 years old engaged in sexually explicit conduct – a clear indication of the gravity of Stack’s perversion.
But the phone was just the beginning. A subsequent search revealed a laptop brimming with even more depravity. Stack had amassed over 9,000 additional images and videos of child pornography on the device, cementing the scale of his disturbing obsession. The sheer volume of material points to a prolonged and deliberate pattern of abuse enablement.
This wasn’t a random discovery. The case is the result of a joint investigation by the New York State Police, led by Major Amie Feroleto, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the direction of Acting Special Agent-in-Charge Mark Grimm. Their relentless work brought Stack’s crimes to light and ensured he will face justice.
Stack now faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
