In a shocking federal case, Juan Carlos Mendoza-Cisneros was charged with numerous violent crimes in the Southern District of Texas. On June 18, 2013, a federal indictment was filed against Mendoza-Cisneros, who stood accused of committing a string of violent offenses in the state of Texas. The defendant’s charges included kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. According to court records, Mendoza-Cisneros allegedly used a firearm to threaten and intimidate his victims, leaving them traumatized and fearful for their lives. The case was heard in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. On May 15, 2014, Mendoza-Cisneros pleaded guilty to the charges against him. As a result, he was sentenced to 100 months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
