Meridian, MS — In a stunning victory against drug trafficking, federal agents have brought down Jabreon Deshon Mosley, a 34-year-old local kingpin, after he was found guilty of distributing deadly drugs across the region. The jury convicted him of Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, and Cocaine following a rigorous four-day trial.
According to court documents, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Mosley’s residence in January 2024, uncovering over 87 pounds of methamphetamine, 45 pounds of fentanyl, and 35 pounds of cocaine. Agents also seized two pill press machines, 13 firearms, and a suppressor.
Mosley had been operating an illegal pill press machine since October 2023, manufacturing counterfeit pharmaceuticals containing the harmful substances. These pills were then sold on the streets of Meridian and parts of Alabama.
Acting United States Attorney Patrick A. Lemon expressed pride in the collaboration between his office, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, highlighting the significant impact of their joint efforts to remove drugs from the streets.
‘The seizure of this massive amount of meth, fentanyl, and cocaine, along with illegal firearms and pill presses, is a substantial blow to criminal organizations that threaten our communities,’ said DEA Assistant Special Agent in Charge Anessa Daniels-McCaw. ‘This successful outcome is a testament to the dedication of the Mississippi Homeland Security Task Force as part of Operation Take Back America.’
Mississippi Department of Public Safety Commissioner Sean Tindell commended the agencies for their relentless pursuit of justice, stating, ‘We will continue to work together to dismantle criminal networks and protect our neighborhoods from this poison.’ The investigation was conducted by the Mississippi Homeland Security Task Force under Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative aimed at eliminating cartels and transnational criminal organizations.
