Jon Radway, a 47-year-old from Pompey, New York, was caught with a massive stash of methamphetamine – over 400 grams of the pure stuff – at his home on October 9, 2025. Radway planned to sell the meth to customers in Onondaga County and beyond, raking in profits while destroying lives. The meth kingpin’s operation was shut down thanks to a joint investigation by the ATF and the New York State Police.
Radway’s guilty plea led to a 70-month prison sentence, handed down by United States District Judge Anthony J. Brindisi. The judge also ordered Radway to serve a 4-year term of supervised release after his prison time and forfeit $3,135 in seized drug proceeds.
The case against Radway was built by the ATF’s Syracuse Field Office, with assistance from the New York State Police Community Stabilization Unit. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of New York prosecuted the case, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Brown leading the charge.
The sentencing is a major win for law enforcement in the fight against methamphetamine trafficking in New York. As First Assistant United States Attorney John A. Sarcone III noted, ‘Dangerous narcotics place a tremendous burden on our communities and public health systems.’ The collaboration between agencies is a model for effective crime-fighting, and a warning to those who would follow in Radway’s footsteps.
