William Gray, a 31-year-old Oklahoma City man, has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for his role in a meth trafficking operation. On June 4, 2025, law enforcement arranged an undercover purchase of two pounds of methamphetamine, which led them to Gray’s vehicle. When approached, Gray fled the scene, ditching the meth in a residential neighborhood. The next day, police recovered the meth and linked it to Gray through surveillance footage.
Gray’s troubles didn’t end there. On June 10, 2025, police executed a search warrant at his residence, seizing five firearms and additional methamphetamine. He was later charged with multiple federal crimes, including drug conspiracy and being a felon in possession of firearms. Gray pleaded guilty to two of the charges on March 4, 2026.
At his sentencing hearing on July 27, 2026, Chief U.S. District Judge Scott L. Palk handed down a 25-year prison sentence, followed by five years of supervised release. The judge cited the severity of the offense, the need to protect the public, and Gray’s prior felony convictions, which include unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
Gray’s case is a stark reminder of the dangers of meth trafficking and the consequences of breaking the law. With his sentence, the Oklahoma City community is a little bit safer, and the flow of illicit drugs has been disrupted.
