Jason Dewayne Glass, a 42-year-old Locust Grove man with a history of violent crimes, was sentenced to more than 20 years in prison for possessing methamphetamine and being a felon in possession of a firearm while drug trafficking. In September 2024, Cherokee Nation Marshals executed a search warrant at Glass’s home, where they found 88 grams of methamphetamine and numerous firearms. Glass admitted to carrying a loaded pistol for protection while selling methamphetamine, despite knowing he was not allowed to carry a firearm as a prior felon.
Glass’s plea agreement revealed a disturbing pattern of behavior, including using one of the firearms during the commission of an aggravated sexual assault that left the victim with serious bodily injury. His lengthy criminal history includes prior convictions for manufacturing a controlled substance, assaulting a police officer, and pointing a firearm at law enforcement.
The investigation was led by the Cherokee National Marshal Service, with assistance from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and the FBI. Assistant U.S. Attorney Stacey Todd prosecuted the case, which resulted in Glass being ordered to serve 248 months imprisonment, followed by five years of supervised release.
Glass will remain in custody pending transfer to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons. The sentence reflects the severity of his crimes and the danger he posed to his community.
