Jody Lynn Pope, a 30-year-old Missoula woman, was involved in a methamphetamine trafficking operation that ultimately led to her downfall. On December 10, 2025, Pope attempted to sell meth at Franklin Park in Missoula, but fled the scene when she spotted law enforcement. The incident occurred when Pope arrived at the park in a vehicle driven by Brandon Gregory Genet, who sped away when he saw the cops. Pope was found by law enforcement the next day and admitted to selling 3 ounces of meth and having already sold 8 ounces the previous week.
The investigation was conducted by the FBI’s Montana Regional Violent Crime Task Force and the DEA. Pope pleaded guilty in February 2026 to one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Her accomplice, Brandon Gregory Genet, was also sentenced to prison on July 7, 2026, for his role in the meth trafficking operation.
On the day of the sentencing, U.S. District Judge Donald W. Molloy presided over the case, which was prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Pope was sentenced to five years and three months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release.
