Black’s guilty plea was accepted by Magistrate Judge Gerald L. Jackson, who ordered a presentence investigation report to be completed. The U.S. District Court Judge will determine Black’s sentence, which could be up to 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other factors.
Black will remain in the custody of the United States Marshals Service until his sentencing. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Lewis M. Reagan. The guilty plea marks a significant step in holding Black accountable for his actions and ensuring public safety in the community.
