Robert James Jackson, Meth Distribution, Oklahoma 2023

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – In a federal courthouse in Muskogee, a notorious meth kingpin and his cohorts were brought to justice, sentenced for their roles in a massive Oklahoma drug distribution ring.

Robert James Jackson, 31, of Hugo, Oklahoma, will spend 14 years behind bars for his crimes. Jackson was sentenced to 168 months in prison for one count of distribution of methamphetamine. This ruling brings an end to a years-long investigation into Jackson’s operation, which saw him and his accomplices peddling the deadly drug across Eastern Oklahoma.

But Jackson wasn’t the only one to face justice. Andre Cimone Golston, 35, of Idabel, was sentenced to 48 months in prison for one count of use of a communication facility. Meanwhile, Antwaine Tremaine Nelson, 33, of Idabel, received a 46-month prison sentence for the same charge.

The investigation into the trio’s operation was a collaborative effort between the Drug Enforcement Administration, Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office, and Idabel Police Department. The probe uncovered a scheme to distribute methamphetamine in Eastern Oklahoma, which spanned from the spring of 2020 until approximately October 2021.

The Honorable John F. Heil III, U.S. District Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, presided over the hearing in Muskogee. The defendants will remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshal pending transportation to a designated United States Bureau of Prisons facility to serve their non-paroleable sentences.

Assistant United States Attorney Erin Cornell represented the United States at sentencing. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma praised the collaborative effort that brought these defendants to justice, citing the critical role played by the law enforcement agencies involved.

The sentencing of Jackson and his accomplices serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of methamphetamine and the devastating impact it has on communities across Oklahoma. As law enforcement continues to crack down on these types of operations, we can only hope that this will be a turning point in the fight against this deadly substance.
