Huntington Woman Sentenced for Heroin Sales
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – A local woman has been sentenced to federal prison for her role in selling heroin in the Huntington area. Miana Miller, 20, was sentenced to two years in prison for distribution of heroin.
According to court documents, Miller sold heroin to a confidential informant working with the Huntington FBI Drug Task Force on multiple occasions. The drug deals took place at various locations in Huntington, including the corner of 9th Street West and Monroe Avenue.
Law enforcement also discovered a stash house located at 1438 Lynn Street in Huntington, which was used to store heroin and crack. Miller admitted to leasing the residence for another individual, but did not live at the location. The residence was used to store approximately 198 grams of crack and 11 grams of heroin.
Miller was arrested on May 15, 2015, after a search warrant was executed at her residence on 9th Avenue in Huntington. The search warrant was executed after law enforcement discovered a loaded firearm in another bedroom of the home.
The Huntington Police Department and the Huntington FBI Drug Task Force conducted the investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Gregory McVey is handling the prosecution.

The prosecution of Miller is part of an ongoing effort by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of West Virginia to combat the illicit sale and misuse of illegal drugs. The U.S. Attorney’s Office, joined by federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, is committed to aggressively pursuing and shutting down pill trafficking, eliminating open air drug markets, and curtailing the spread of illegal drugs in communities across the Southern District.
