Willcox Man Sentenced to 156 Months in Prison for Bank Robbery

A brazen bank robbery in Safford, Arizona, has resulted in a lengthy prison sentence for the perpetrator. Michael Dino Peraino, 64, of Willcox, Arizona, was sentenced to 156 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for his role in robbing a Chase Bank on July 10, 2025.

According to court documents, Peraino entered the bank and handed a note to the victim teller, directing her to give him $10,000.00 in cash. Peraino further told the teller to hurry and stated he had a firearm, while motioning toward his waistband.

The FBI Phoenix, Sierra Vista office, and the Safford Police Department conducted the investigation. The U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Arizona, Tucson, handled the prosecution.

Peraino pleaded guilty to Bank Robbery and was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Scott H. Rash on February 9, 2026. The case number is CR-25-3532, and the release number is 2026-029_Peraino.
