Michael J. Kisling, a 24-year-old man from Mansfield, Ohio, has been charged with multiple crimes including sexual exploitation of a child, receiving and distributing visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, and identity theft.
According to Steven M. Dettelbach, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, Kisling used, persuaded, induced, enticed, and coerced a 14-year-old girl to engage in sexually explicit conduct between November 1, 2010, and November 22, 2010. The visual depictions were transported using any means and facility of interstate and foreign commerce.
The indictment also charges Kisling with distributing computer files containing visual depictions of a real minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct on November 22, 2010, and April 4, 2013. Additionally, Kisling is accused of using a means of identification of another person without lawful authority on April 4, 2013, and possessing printed pages containing visual depictions of a real minor on December 23, 2013.
Furthermore, Kisling is charged with receiving digital files containing visual depictions of real minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct between January 28, 2013, and December 10, 2013.
Michael J. Kisling, a resident of Mansfield, Ohio, is currently facing charges in the Northern District of Ohio. If convicted, the sentence will be determined by the court after considering the Federal Sentencing Guidelines. The sentence will not exceed the statutory maximum.
This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michael A. Sullivan. The case was investigated by the Canton Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Eau Claire County, Wisconsin Sheriff’s Office.
