Lorain Man Charged with Possession of Child Pornography

Edward A. Dembiec, 53, of Lorain, Ohio, has been charged with a serious crime that has left many in the community shaken.

According to the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, Steven M. Dettelbach, Dembiec is accused of possessing child pornography from October 1, 2008, to May 5, 2013. This is a serious offense that carries severe penalties if convicted.

The charges against Dembiec include possession of an Apple iMac Desktop computer, an Acer Aspire Laptop computer, and numerous DVD/CD discs containing child pornography. These items were allegedly shipped and transported in interstate and foreign commerce, violating Title 18, United States Code, Section 2252A(a)(5)(B).

If convicted, Dembiec’s sentence will be determined by the court after considering the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
