TULSA, OKLAHOMA – Gregory Miller, 56, of Tulsa, will spend the next three decades behind bars after being sentenced for the horrific exploitation of an 8-year-old child. The sentence, handed down today by U.S. District Judge John F. Heil, III, reflects the gravity of Miller’s crimes – the Production of Child Pornography – and aims to protect future potential victims.
Federal prosecutors secured a 360-month imprisonment sentence for Miller, followed by a lifetime of supervised release. The court also ordered Miller to pay a $15,000 fine and permanently barred him from any contact with the victim. Upon release from federal custody, Miller will be required to register as a sex offender, ensuring continued monitoring and public awareness.
The case unfolded after law enforcement executed a search warrant at Miller’s Tulsa residence in February 2024. Investigators seized a cache of electronic devices, which, upon forensic examination, revealed deeply disturbing content. The devices contained images and videos depicting a minor child, known to Miller, subjected to sexually explicit posing. The investigation swiftly confirmed that these vile images and videos were created within the confines of Miller’s own home.
“This is a particularly sickening case,” stated U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson. “The deliberate exploitation of a vulnerable child is unconscionable. Our office will continue to relentlessly pursue and prosecute those who prey on the innocent.” The evidence presented in court painted a disturbing picture of premeditation and callous disregard for the victim’s well-being.
Homeland Security Investigations and the Tulsa Police Department collaborated on the investigation, meticulously gathering evidence and building a solid case against Miller. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Ashley Robert and Christopher J. Nassar skillfully prosecuted the case, ensuring justice was served. Miller remains in custody pending transfer to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons, where he will begin serving his lengthy sentence.
This prosecution was undertaken as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in 2006 by the Department of Justice. The project focuses on combating the escalating epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse by coordinating federal, state, and local resources to identify, apprehend, and prosecute offenders, as well as to rescue victims.
