Tampa Felon Charged with Possessing Firearm, Ammunition
Tampa, FL – In a shocking turn of events, convicted felon Milton Anthony Bradshaw (43, Tampa) has been indicted for possessing a firearm and ammunition. According to authorities, the incident occurred on September 20, 2022, when Bradshaw was found in possession of a firearm and ammunition. This is a stark reminder of the dangers of firearms in the wrong hands.
As a previously convicted felon, Bradshaw is prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition under federal law. His four previous felony convictions for delivery of cocaine should have been a clear warning sign to law enforcement. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office took swift action, investigating the incident and bringing forth the indictment.
Assistant United States Attorney Michael R. Kenneth will be prosecuting the case, while Assistant United States Attorney Suzanne Nebesky will handle the forfeiture. This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence in our communities.
The indictment, a formal charge that a defendant has committed one or more violations of federal criminal law, is a serious warning to Bradshaw. Every defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty, and it will be up to the court to decide the outcome of this case.
The consequences of this crime are severe, with Bradshaw facing a minimum mandatory penalty of 15 years, up to life, in federal prison. The indictment also notifies Bradshaw that the United States intends to forfeit the firearm and ammunition traceable to the offense.
As we continue to grapple with the issue of gun violence in our communities, it’s essential to hold accountable those who break the law. This case serves as a reminder of the importance of community-based programs that help prevent violence from occurring in the first place.
Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) is a program that brings together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and gun violence.
