Daniel Logan Mock, 34, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, has been sentenced to 14 months in federal prison for posting threatening messages on Facebook to Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham of New Mexico, law enforcement officers, and other government officials.
Mock pleaded guilty to two counts of transmission of threatening communications in interstate commerce on May 13. According to his plea agreement, Mock admitted to committing these offenses in Bernalillo County, New Mexico on March 2 and March 13.
The threatening messages posted by Mock were a serious breach of security and put the lives of several government officials at risk. The messages were considered a credible threat, and an investigation was launched immediately.
