Baltimore, MD – A federal jury has convicted three members of the notorious MS-13 gang for their roles in a deadly campaign of murder and attempted murder. Wilson Arturo Constanza-Galdomez (26), Edis Omar Valenzuela-Rodriguez (24), and Jonathan Pesquera-Puerto (24) were found guilty of conspiracy to participate in a racketeering enterprise involving murders, and attempted murders, as well as murder in aid of racketeering.
According to court documents, the trio were part of MS-13’s Carlington Locos Salvatrucha clique. They are accused of participating in two murders and four attempted murders from June 2019 through October 2021. Their violent activities were aimed at increasing their status within the gang, which is known for its ruthless tactics and disregard for human life.
Constanza-Galdomez and Pesquera-Puerto were sentenced to life in prison without parole. Valenzuela-Rodriguez also faces a life sentence after being convicted of conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, and witness tampering. The convictions are the result of a joint investigation by the FBI and local law enforcement agencies.
“The MS-13 gang continues to show a total disregard for human life,” said Kelly O. Hayes, U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland. “We are committed to relentlessly pursuing and prosecuting those who commit these despicable crimes.”
Acting Assistant Attorney General Matthew R. Galeotti echoed the sentiment, stating that today’s verdict demonstrates the Department of Justice’s unwavering commitment to eradicating MS-13 and restoring safety to communities.
