Murder Convict Dead in Custody

BILLINGS — A disturbing turn of events has occurred in the case of Taylor Leigh Plain Bull, a 27-year-old transient convicted of second-degree murder.

According to sources close to the investigation, Plain Bull met his demise while in custody in Big Horn County, Wyoming. The news comes as a shock to those who have been following the case, which has been marred by controversy and tragedy.

Plain Bull was awaiting sentencing on July 27 for his conviction of second-degree murder, a crime he had pleaded guilty to on March 3. Mr. Plain Bull had pleaded guilty on March 3 to second-degree murder and to use of a firearm during a crime of violence in the Oct. 24, 2020 fatal shooting of a woman and injury of a passenger in her vehicle along Blue Creek Road on the Crow Indian Reservation."
